Pearson has clarified further information regarding the issuing of BTEC Level 3 results this summer. The exam provider will not be issuing unit grades, but will instead give students an overall qualification grade. This will be based on a range of information, including a grade submitted by tutors based on your performance, as well as other evidence.

This year no algorithms will be used to generate results. Instead, Pearson will be sampling student work and the submitted qualification grades will be subject to their quality assurance processes/checks to enable them to issue the final results with confidence.

More information on the process can be found in a letter released by Pearson. You can read it in full HERE.

Please do read the letter as it contains important information for all learners completing a BTEC Level 3, including those who are planning to progress onto university and Higher Education.

There is also a handy downloadable guide for students on how GCSEs and Vocational and Technical Qualifications will be graded and awarded in summer 2021 and where students can go for additional information.
